Sudarshan Venu is passionate about exponential technologies and understands the evolving consumer experiences in the continually disruptive digital economy.   A strong advocate of digitisation, Sudarshan believes in its potential to create disruptions that will significantly alleviate the lives of consumers.

At TVS Digital, Sudarshan plays a pivotal role in building the start-up investment programme of the company. As a Visionary, he also serves as an Advisor, Coach and Mentor to the TVS Digital management team and helps the product teams fine-tune the customer value proposition. This has helped position TVS Digital as a reliable solution provider which creates strategic value, offers proven solutions and charts digital transformation for businesses to scale. Sudarshan has developed a strategic road map for the company’s ‘future readiness’ with acquisitions and investments in start-ups in adjacent areas such as Digital Manufacturing, Advanced Credit Underwriting, Fleet Management and Connected Vehicles.

Under Sudarshan’s leadership as the Managing Director of TVS Motor Company, the company has witnessed a steady growth in market share under his fresh and dynamic leadership. TVS Motor is now ranked among the top five two-wheeler manufacturers in the world. He has been instrumental in steering the company with the broader sustainability agenda through electrification of its products, iQube – the first electric scooter launched in Jan 2020 and building a strategic Personal e-Mobility eco-system through the acquisition of Ego Movement - a swiss tech company providing e-mobility solutions. He has also spearheaded the company’s acquisition of the iconic British brand Norton Motorcycles. He has also been instrumental in successfully setting up Emerald Haven Realty Ltd - a major real-estate player, TVS Credit Services – a Non-Deposit taking Non-Banking Finance Company. In addition to his role as Director and board member of TVS Digital, he is a Managing Director of TVS Motor Company, Non-executive Director in Sundaram-Clayton Ltd, and TVS Credit Services Ltd.

A graduate with Honors in the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology from the University of Pennsylvania, Sudarshan obtained B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering and B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School and completed his M.Sc. in International Technology Management from the Warwick Manufacturing Group attached to the University of Warwick in the U.K.
